Prefab Garage

A prefab garage is a building constructed in segements by the manufacturer then assembled on site where the building will reside. The materials used in the construction normally are comprised of metal, plywood, or vinyl. In most cases they are designed to be built on a concrete slab, however some models include flooring which allows for the structure to be setup on bare ground.

Since not everyones needs for a prefabricated garage are the same, companies that manufacture these buildings have many different models and options available including hook ups for electricity, plumbing, or compressed air lines. In addition they are also available with a variety of doorways, windows, or even skylights if so desired.

While the prefab garages are easily constructed, given the size of some of the models (2 car and larger) you’ll need to ensure you have all the needed manpower and tools available for a sucessful build of the unit. Make sure you consult with the manufacturer with what the required items are. Alternative you could consult with a contractor experienced in building prefab structures.

Remember prior to taking delivery of your prefab garage, you’ll want to make sure that the area for building is clean and cleared of any obstructions, and that any plumbing or electrical hook ups would be roughed in.
